Co-hosted by Charity by Dawn Lilly Cosmetics, Jacqueline’s Salon and Pretty Living PR Mission Makeover raising awareness for Autism was held at Cavo Restaurant, Lounge and Nightclub this past Saturday, April 20th. Mission Makeover was a first-of-its-kind event in Pittsburgh, where 6 teams of makeup artists (Brazil Raine, Maggie Socash, Alaina Zangaro, Moriah Moore, Ashley Genova, Maggy Pawlesh) and hair stylists (Jordan McGee, Megan Straight, Ashley Steedle, Stephanie Gardner, Thereasa Kelly) were assigned a decade (1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, futuristic) and a model (Savannah Kennick Brittany Hartman Susan Fancsali Allyn Lewis Jessica Kennedy Brittany Tresky) who they transformed (and sent back in time, with the exception of the futuristic look). The contestants had a short amount of time to perfect their model’s hair and makeup before they were sent back stage and into Debi Weiss Fashions before hitting the runway.
The audience voted for their favorite looks through raffle tickets purchased at the event. The team, which was the 1970s, including MUA Brazil Raine, HS and model Savannah Kennick won by raising the money for The Autism Center of Pittsburgh. From the money raised at Mission Makeover, the charity received a $400 donation.
