On June 12, The House of Dior announced the new face of Dior Homme fragrance: actor Robert Pattinson. Fast Forward to September 1, Dior posted a 10 second preview clip on YouTube for their new video in the Dior Homme fragrance campaign. Just over a half hour ago, the full length film went viral.
When I started the video, my jaw dropped. I thought to myself – “am I really hearing the intro to “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin!?” As the seconds passed, my ears assured me I was right.
The black and white video features exciting, sensual moments in a faux relationship between Pattinson and Rowe. The film is wildly passionate, including upside down kisses, surrounded by water droplets and Pattinson carrying his love on the beach, alongside crashing waves.
Just before the film ends, we see the world of Dior Homme transformed into color, just in time for a collar pop and a few words in French.
The Director’s Cut incorporates more of the fantasy that is silently created by Pattinson and Rowe.
HollywoodLife reported: The campaign, photographed by Nan Goldin and filmed by Romain Gavras is inspired by the famous James Dean quote – “Dream as if you will live forever. Live as if you will die today.”
